The Artists
Against Antisemitism
Annual Auction

The annual auction is the cornerstone of The Artists Against Antisemitism. Keep The Light Going, our Inaugural Auction, launched our organization back in 2023. Through that event, we raised over $120,000. The main beneficiary was Project Shema, who used the funds to create Shema on Campus, a series of interactive workshops that empower Jewish student leaders to navigate difficult conversations around antisemitism in the current political climate, as well as hire additional staff to organize these workshops.

This year, we’ll be partnering with Project Shema again, both to fund virtual antisemitism training sessions for people who work in the arts and to continue to sponsor the Shema on Campus series. A percentage of the funds we raise will go toward sustaining the day-to-day work that keeps our organization running.

Our Second Annual Auction Will Be Going Live on November 13th.

What to Donate?

Last year, over a thousand people bid on items including virtual meet-and-greets with celebrities and authors, critiques and/or advice from professionals in the publishing, film, and music industries, fabulous vacation packages, VIP tickets to talk shows, sporting events, and concerts, original pieces of fine art and exquisite jewelry, plus naming rights to characters in upcoming books. Auction FAQs

If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers! If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, feel free to email our auction team at auction@theartistsagainstantisemitism.com.

  • No. Every donation submission is required to have a separate form filled out. If you are graciously donating more than one item, we suggest that you copy and paste any longer text into the additional forms.

  • As long as we have the basic information we need (name of donor, description of item, contact info, etc) it doesn’t matter who fills out the form.

  • Absolutely! Last year, some of the items that went for the highest amount were things like vacation packages and sport tickets.

  • The donor is responsible for shipping the item—you can select whether the item can be shipped within the U.S, within Canada, or Internationally.

  • The person who fills out the form is responsible for providing accurate information and contact information for the donor.

  • You have the option to suggest a minimum bid for your item on the donation form. The bids are considered suggestions unless you add a note in the “any other questions” box saying that the item can not be sold for less than the minimum bid.

  • There is a field on the form where you can select whether or not we can potentially bundle your item to create an even more valuable package.

  • Absolutely! You may create your own or work with others to create a bundle. Just decide who will be responsible for shipment to the winner!  As examples, in the past, we have had items bundled into themed baskets or book packages.

  • The Artists Against Antisemitism is a 501 3 (c), you can write off your donation to the auction as "in kind" donations but we recommend discussing this with your tax professional.

  • Most likely, we will not be able to accept items past the October 31st deadline–though if you’d like to check with us to be sure, please email auction@theartistsagainstantisemitism.com. You may still fill out the form and have your item included in next year’s auction.

  • 75% of all money raised will be going to Project Shema to fund a series of training sessions about antisemitism for various arts communities, and to continue sponsoring their Shema On Campus program, supporting Jewish student leaders. 25% of the proceeds will go toward running our organization and developing projects like awareness-raising campaigns, resource guides, community arts projects, celebrations, etc.

  • The Artists Against Antisemitism is 501(c)(3) committed to raising awareness of antisemitism in the arts and uniting the artistic community to build a kinder, brighter, more understanding future. Learn more.
